Leaving the UK I'll travel through France and Spain to catch a ferry for Ceuta. From there I'll enter Africa...

Morocco for starters and down through the Western Sahara heading for Mauritania. From there I'll aim for Dakar in Senegal. Hey at least I can say I've ridden a motorbike from Paris to Dakar!

After Senegal the next country on the list if Mali, where I'll head to the famous Timbuktu. Once there it's off to Niger, Burkina Faso and into Ghana for a well-earned rest.

Togo and Benin are next followed by Nigeria. Cameroon is next on the list then I'll be entering the Heart of Darkness! Gabon, Congo, Cabinda (Angolan enclave) and a short hop through the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Now we have the Portuguese speaking Angola, followed by the skeleton coast of Namibia and South Africa where I'll head to Cape Town. A short visit to Port Elizabeth to see family and its time to head north to Botswana and Zambia.

Then into Tanzania and Kenya to see some wildlife. Uganda is next where I hope to see gorillas, before heading back into Kenya and onto Ethiopia and Sudan where I'll follow the Nile all the way to Egypt.

After that it's the Middle East and back to Europe and then home.
